A good way to teach an apprentice to bend conduit is to take a piece of #10 or #12 solid and bend that piece of wire in the manner of the bend you need. This will give the apprentice a good perspective on how to bend it correctly and will also help the apprentice to understand the fundamentals of bending conduit.
