If you are in a bind and need an re, you can make a 3/4 to 1" with a 3/4 coupling. Screw the coupling onto a threaded peice of pipe. Using a 1" die thread the coupling completely and cut to aprox.5/8. This also works with larger sized couplings and pipe. Yes it does work with 1/2 to 3/4. You can use this method to make a union also.
