If you have had a wire stub or box buried on you by drywallers, but the circuit still holds when turned on. Turn on circuit,and take a directional compass and pass it by the area where the box or wire should be and observe the compass needle. The EMF of the energized wire will attract the needle and lead you to it. I used this my self yrs ago.
